Overview
A Construction Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks to support construction activities. This entry-level role involves working on-site under the supervision of a Site Supervisor or Foreman and requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Construction Laborers play an essential role in helping projects move forward efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation: Assist in setting up construction sites, including removing debris, preparing materials, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials such as wood, tools, and cement around the site.
- Basic Equipment Operation: Operate small hand tools and equipment like drills, saws, and compactors.
- Support Skilled Workers: Assist carpenters, masons, plumbers, and electricians by providing tools, materials, and support as needed.
- Digging and Excavation: Dig trenches, holes, and foundations manually or using machinery.
- Mixing and Pouring: Prepare concrete, mix it according to specifications, and pour into forms as directed.
